Splatter My Heart
-
A conversation half understood
- Because I don't read it
- I write already know and thus I
- Don't explain, enlighten, illuminate
- The happy twilight of my playground
- Not so pretty to look at, some abandoned
- Abused and pristine, none well-used
- My playground under the silver stars
- Dimly visited I recorded the echoes of dreams
- Never did I think you would burst across
- The pageline broken with reality less here
- Than you that trembles in my hand
- Chokes my throat with the thought
- I cannot say what colours you
- Splattered across my heart now
- I have to splatter it in ink
- Across a page, paint pained in my heart
- Awkward, flawed, yes, never insipid
